The Role
The primary purpose of this role is to Manage WHS at the Craigieburn site in the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the safety management system, programs and initiatives to maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all personnel. You will be reporting directly to the National HSE Manager.
Requirements:
- Comply with local WHS legislation and relevant Codes and standards
- Key stakeholder engagement
- Consult and Cooperate with regard to health and safety matters on site
- Incident investigation
- Participate in Developing, documenting, implementing and maintaining safe systems of work for their activities on site;
- Cease work where there is a perceived risk or known immediate risk to the health and safety of self or others. If the task cannot be done safely, do not do it.
- Allow for sufficient time to obtain the required safe work permits.
- Actively and timely participate in work health and safety meetings and awareness training.
- Demonstrate commitment to work health and safety through their own actions and attitudes.
- Uses Personal Protective Equipment as required and directed.
You will have extensive HSE Management experience with in the Construction industry, ideally with large complex builds. You will be relationship driven and have the ability to communicate effectively with everyone across the construction site.
