The Role
As Senior Safety Advisor, you will actively support, coach, mentor and provide technical advice to internal stakeholders across the contract as well as be responsible for safety performance monitoring, data analysis, audit processes and guide incident investigations.
Ideal Candidate
Exposure in the Road Maintenance, Mechanical or Electrical
sectors will be highly regarded as will the ability to influence and engage a wide range of stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships with both operational and management personnel to achieve best safety outcomes.
- Diploma or Cert. IV in Occupational Health and Safety
- ICAM Lead investigation (desirable).
- Quality/Safety Lead internal Auditor (desirable).
- Demonstrate knowledge and ability to evaluate and implement WHS policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to develop WHS improvement plans to drive and promote proactive safety awareness programs
- Ability to think strategically, considering both corporate and local objectives/drivers.
- Ability to conduct audits; investigations of safety issues and assist in developing improvement plans based on findings.
- Prior experience with managing return to work programs in consultation with line management; liaison with Injury Management Team
