Construction Work Health & Safety

Zenergy has extensive experience in Construction Work Health and Safety (WHS), with a unique advantage in understanding what needs to implement effective Work Health and Safety systems in such a high-risk

industry.

Construction Management Systems

A Construction Management System should give clear guidelines for the contractor’s consultation and risk management processes, define who has responsibility for WHS, and outline how these policies, practices, standards and procedures will be communicated.

Zenergy can develop the Construction Management System “Framework” documentation with the supporting forms and tools documentation required for applying a systematic approach to the management of Construction Projects and development of an Implementation Plan for a programmed rollout of the environmental processes across targeted business areas.

Project Work Health and Safety (WHS) Management Plans Development

Construction Project WHS Management Plans are developed and prepared before work on the construction project commences and should set out the arrangements for managing the site work health and safety matters in accordance with the Regulatory requirements.

Zenergy can assist in the preparation and collation of the key information relevant to the work into a formal Project WHS Management Plan for Construction Projects. The level of detail required for a WHS Management Plan will depend on how complex the workplace is (in particular, the number of contractors at the workplace at any one time) and the risks involved in the work and the Project WHS Management Plan

Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) Development

Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) must be prepared and implemented for all high-risk construction work activities. The primary purpose of a Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) is to enable supervisors, workers and any other persons at the workplace to understand the requirements that have been established to carry out the high-risk construction work in a safe and healthy manner so they can implement them.

Zenergy can assist in the preparation of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) which are developed that are construction industry compliant, ready to use onsite, and sets out the construction work activities to be carried out, the hazards and risks arising from those activities and the measures to be put in place to control the risks.

Construction Site Safety Inspections

Regular construction site safety inspections are carried out to verify that appropriate WHS management is in place, and that construction work processes are proceeding safely and in accordance with Project WHS Management Plans and requirements.

Zenergy understands Construction Site Safety Inspections must be tailored to the unique requirements of the project and are an important part of the Project WHS Management Plans and should include the work site activities, work methods, materials, plant and equipment will be subject to planned inspections at key stages of the project, during high-risk activities and on completion of construction.
